Old-school craftsmanship, made for putting pen to paper.

The Journeyman takes its inspiration from the stacked leather handles found on vintage knives and hatchets. We cut and stack individual pieces of leather to create the blank, then turn and finish each pen by hand in our workshop.

The process reveals layers, colors, and patterns that can't be completely predicted—which is exactly what we like about it. No two pens turn out quite the same.

The finished leather has a warm, substantial feel in the hand and a look that hints at the old tools that inspired it. Some are understated, some show more contrast, but every Journeyman is individually made and one of a kind.
